THE BEAST

The Beast
Ethan Radcliff

Some say the soul suffers when love dies. Perhaps. What happens when the soul bleeds with remorse? Kyle vowed never to fall in love, vampires don't handle the emotion well, and they crumbled in ecstasy

"Come, my dear, I promise to love, honor and obey you," Kyle said as he clutched Genève’s arms.

"Please let go of me. I've never committed any crime, why now is my soul forsaken?"

"I promise to give you pleasure the likes of which you have never experienced."

Fangs extended, he ravaged her neck, taking her blood as her heart beat furiously in her chest. Her tears ran down her pale cheeks as he fed on her, her fingers useless as they tried to push him away.

He raised his head, her blood running over his lips and smiled. "My sweet child now you will see what all the fuss is about. Vampires are a master at taking and giving."

He spread her thighs and entered her, his desire hard and unyielding. His long thick, rod rammed deep and now he saw her eyes open wide.

"Ah, I see the wonder in your eyes."

"Please, oh please," she said, her pleas of protest now sounding more erotic and needy.

"Please what my love," Kyle asked.

"I am damned...more oh, yes more," she was now begging.

He slid in and out of her warm heat, each stroke bringing her closer. His body was on fire. Love would foil the beast in him. Love would destroy the evil that lived deep inside of his soul.

With one last plunge, his hollow seed filled her.

"Oh God," she cried as her body tightened around him. "Take me, make me one with you."

Kyle took more of her vital salty life-giving blood and delivered her wish.

Love took her and evil would live in her soul forever.

The night was young but perfect for the hunt. Love took the beast and the beast prevailed.

Genève awoke with a start. The drapes were drawn in the room yet a small ray of light had managed to peak through. It sparkled on the wood floor and somehow she surmised the light was her enemy. She cringed in fear holding the covers over her naked body.

Kyle now appeared startling her. "How did you do that," she said.

"Do what my dear, you mean this." He zipped his body across the floor showing her how fast he could move.

"That's unnatural," she whispered.

"Indeed it is, perhaps you'd like to try."

"I can't do that," she said letting a large yawn envelope her. "I'm tired, I need to sleep." Genève fell back onto the pillows.

He disrobed and slid in next to her. "I'm hungry, my pet."

"No, please, not again," she begged.

He disappeared under the covers and spread her thighs taking in her female scent. His hunger increased. His tongue ran along the inside of her thigh causing her to tremble and her hands to grip his shoulders.

Kyle was grinning as he continued his sensual assault on her body. So warm, so wet, as he began his exploration. There was no more pleading, only gasps of pleasure as he used his vampire persuasion on her.

"Oh, God, " she moaned.
"Mmm," he whispered against her sensitive skin. His fangs appeared and he nipped at her taking a small drop of her blood.

Her body arched to give him greater access and he took her invitation. The beast was free again.

Kyle didn't let up. He continued to sexually devour her, lick her, until he could feel her body tremor. The small taste of her blood was now driving him with desire.

He stopped and brought his body over hers and took her, his hardened fire plunged deep.

"Oh, yes, more, deeper," she cried.

He obeyed and once he began his decadent rhythm, he couldn't stop. Continuously, he slid deep, giving her all of him. There was no doubt he'd bestow upon her body pleasure unlike any she'd ever experienced. It was a gift and it was the nature of the beast, this ability to gratify humans.

With one last thrust, he came, causing her body to react and climax. The sweat beaded up on her skin and he kissed her forehead tasting her. How he wanted her to be his.

Genève lay beneath him, her heart pounding. "What magic do you possess? she asked.

“Vampires possess power, my love, not magic. Magic is an illusion, what I possess is real."

"Will you kill me? Will I become undead? Will you damn my soul forever?"

He took his body from hers and rolled onto his back. "Why so many questions? I like you human. I enjoy your heat and your warm blood."

"Take me; I want to be like you."

"Perhaps in time," he answered her.

"No now!" she yelled and raised a hand to slap him.

His vampire emerged. Large fangs punched through his gums, eyes blaring red and his face was now contorted and his feature demonic.

She cringed in fear. "Now you will kill me?"

He ripped at the sheets beneath him. "No, I will not. I vowed never to destroy another human life. Go, get out of here, before I break that vow!" he bellowed.

Genève scurried from the bed and grabbed her clothing running to the bathroom and slamming the door.

He mumbled, "Like that will keep the beast from her. She has much to learn."

Kyle rose from the bed and as always it was his inclination to go after his prey. Somehow Genève struck a feeling deep inside. It was years since he could feel anything, let alone any compassion for any living thing. But from the moment he saw her he was drawn to her.

But he was drawn to the living. He needed the living to survive. He needed their blood. He had some recollection of how he’d become a vampire. It was when he’d been mortally wounded by a bear when he was hunting for food for his family. He’d seen bears before and had managed to outsmart them, but this one was unlike any he’d ever seen before. A brown bear and mammoth its fangs were enormous, and he had no chance to run. It had him and ripped at his neck.  He remembered the pain and the agony, yet it couldn’t be compared to the pain he experienced waking up a vampire and a monster himself.

The rampage he went on once he was awake was bloody and massive. Even his whole family didn’t survive his anger. Only one member of his family managed to reanimate and that was his ten-year-old son.  But so young and uncontrollable he was destroyed by humans one night as he was caught attacking a human family.

Burning him at the stake, Kyle learned fire was an enemy as well as silver and a stake to the heart. It was then he began to change his animalistic ways.

He did search for others like himself and found few, who wanted nothing to do with him. So he lived as a human, the best he could.

He now stood behind the closed bathroom door. “Genève, please come out I promise not to harm you. I want to talk. Please.”
She opened the door slowly.

“Please, come back to bed and let me love you.”

“My neck, I know you bit me, it’s healed. I need to know Kyle what you are. Tell me.”

“I tell you no lies, I am a vampire. And there is no doubt that though I desire you more than any human, I also want to drain you dry of all your blood.”

“I can feel the lure. I also am weak with need. I’ve never felt anything thing like this before in my life. This isn’t real. Perhaps I am dreaming and I’m going to wake up and you’re going to be the man of my dreams and everything…”

“I am no man of your dreams; I’m a nightmare…and a monster.”

“Show me,” Genève asked.

Kyle moved from her, “No, I can’t. If I turn now I’m afraid I will kill you.” He let his eyes deepened in color to crimson. “See me. See what I can become? I’ll not go any further.”

“Please,” she begged.

Kyle could feel the transition and the hunger. He folded and left her. There was no way he was taking her life…at least not today.

Kyle had roamed the earth for centuries alone. He’d taken more lives than he could count. Why now did he have regret?
He remembered the first time he saw Genève. He thought he saw a halo over her head, but he’d been mistaken. She was no angel, only a human woman.
After taking her he thought to destroy her, like so many others but found he couldn’t. Her blood was sweet. Her body warm, inviting and just thinking about her brought on the need to be with her.
Daylight hindered him and the sun tired him. He closed his eyes and let the darkness take him.

Genève shook from the cold.  Had she dreamed she’d been bitten by a vampire? She remembered seeing Kyle in the Danny’s Bar. His tall dark and handsome looks were a lure to half the women in the bar. A few had approached him but walked away disappointed, why she decided to try talking to him still had her in a quandary.
As she walked toward him he’d smiled. Good Lord, the man could smile. He made every hair on her arms stood up in excitement as she got closer to him. Finally, she was sitting next to him.
“Hi,” she managed to say. “I’ve never seen you at Danny’s before.”
He turned slowly to face her. “That’s because I’ve never been here before.”
“Oh, I see.” She remembered thinking she could have come up with a better retort. But he never gave her a chance. He came in for the kill faster than she expected.
“And what’s your name and what are you drinking?”
“It’s Genève and a Sea Breeze.”
He snapped his fingers and the bartender was before them. “The Lady will have a Sea Breeze and I’ll take a Bloody Mary.” He then leaned close to her. “Tell me Genève what do you like in bed?”
With a sharp intake of breath, she swallowed hard. He’d rendered her speechless. “Do you think I’m that easy?” she said trying to show him she was offended by his question.
“Not at all, I find you attractive and you smell delicious. So you’re not interested?”
Genève scanned over his face. Dark hair and deep brown eyes, with that bedroom sag at the edges, were framed with long thick lashes. His nose fit his sculptured feature perfectly and his five o’clock shadow only added to his perfection. She was interested and might never have an opportunity like this one again.
“Yes, of course, I’m interest. You’re an incredibly handsome man. However, I’m thinking, what is your flaw?” Now she’d shock him. “Perhaps a teeny weeny cock?”
He laughed. “I assure you that’s not the case. I want you Genève and I mean to have you.”
The bartender has their drinks before them and he handed her the dark pink concoction. She touched his hand. It was cold and so very smooth. Perhaps his hand was so cold from handling her cool glass. “How very alpha of you,” she said sipping her drink.
He played with the celery stick in his drink. “I may have to push the issue and trance you. I mean to have my way with you tonight.”
“Trance me? Should I be worried?” she asked amused.
His cool hand touched her bare leg. He then turned to look at her his brown eyes now had an inner amber glow.
That’s as much as she remembered until she was naked and in bed with him.
Now he’d disappeared. Would she ever see him again?
“Vampire my need for you is great. Come back to me,” she said unto the dead air. Would she ever see him again?
